หนังว่าด้วยสิ่งของที่มีชื่อว่า Lament Configuration ซึ่งก็คือกล่องรูบิคที่ว่ากันว่าจะมอบความสุขสูงสุดแ ก่ผู้ที่เปิดมัน แล้วแฟรงค์ คอตตอน (Sean Chapman) ได้ซื้อมาครอบครองและเปิดมันจนสำเร็จ แต่เขากลับต้องเผชิญกับนรกที่สุดจะสยองจนถึงแก่ความต ายไป จากนั้นหลายปีต่อมา แลร์รี่ ค็อตตอน (Andrew Robinson) พี่ชายของแฟรงค์ได้ย้ายเขามาอยู่ในบ้านแฟรงค์ พร้อมด้วยจูเลีย (Clare Higgins) ภรรยาใหม่ และคริสตี้ (Ashley Laurence) ลูกสาวของแลร์รี่ ครอบครัวนี้ไม่รู้เลยครับว่ากำลังจะมาเผชิญกับความสย องและความตายแบบที่นรกแม้แต่นรกก็ยังทำได้ไม่เที่ยมเท่า A woman discovers the newly resurrected, partially formed, body of her brother-in-law. She starts killing for him to revitalize his body so he can escape the demonic beings that are pursuing him after he escaped their sadistic underworld. A young woman struggling with addiction comes into possession of an ancient puzzle box, unaware that its purpose is to summon the Cenobites, a group of sadistic supernatural beings from another dimension.
